Terms of Service
Effective: March 16, 2026
By using ClawDrop ("the Service"), operated by ClawDrop ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
ClawDrop is a file hosting and sharing service. You upload files via HTTP, receive a URL, and can share that URL with others. Files uploaded on the free tier expire after 7 days and are permanently deleted.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, store, or distribute illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that violates applicable law, or content used to facilitate illegal activity.
- Upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code intended to damage systems or users.
- Distribute copyrighted material without authorization from the rights holder.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other individuals.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse API keys, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Use the Service for phishing, fraud, or impersonation.
We reserve the right to remove any content and block any user at our sole discretion, without notice.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of files you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store and serve the file for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You represent that you have the right to upload and share any file you submit to the Service.
4. Content Moderation
We use automated hash-based checking (SHA-256 blocklist) to detect known-bad content. We do not manually review uploads. We comply with valid legal requests and will remove content as required by law.
To report abuse, email: [email protected]
5. API Keys
API keys are the sole authentication mechanism. There are no user accounts. Your API key is your identity. You are responsible for keeping it secure. We cannot recover lost API keys.
6. Rate Limits and Restrictions
- Upload rate limit: 25 uploads per hour (per API key or per IP for anonymous uploads).
- Maximum file size: 50 MB.
- Link expiry: 7 days maximum (configurable 1–90 days).
These limits may change. We will update this page accordingly.
7. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We run on Cloudflare's global infrastructure but make no guarantees of uptime, availability, or performance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
8. Data Deletion
When a file expires or is deleted, it is permanently removed from storage. We do not keep backups of expired or deleted files. Deletion is irreversible.
9. DMCA / Copyright Notices
If you believe content hosted on ClawDrop infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to: [email protected]
Include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) the ClawDrop URL of the infringing content, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate, (6) your physical or electronic signature.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.
14. Changes to These Terms
